Open prototype

A close-reading archive of cinema. For each film it holds shot-by-shot composition notes (shot type, camera move, framing, lens, lighting and what the shot is doing), character cards, a shot-type library and longer essays.

Decisions

Sketch every shot

Each shot gets a loose pencil storyboard sketch and a rule-of-thirds composition diagram beside its written reading, with angle, distance and lens listed underneath.

Films are data

Each film is typed JSON validated with Zod, with essays in MDX. An admin editor saves drafts locally and exports the film as a file to commit, so a new film is a file in the repository.
